AI for Canadian manufacturers
Most of the time in a plant goes to the work around the machines: quotes, schedules, inspections and reports. That is where AI pays off first.

Projects
Where AI pays off first in manufacturing
Quoting and estimating
Today. Estimators rebuild each quote from drawings, past jobs and spreadsheets.
After. A draft quote comes from your past jobs and current costs. An estimator checks it and sends it.
Production scheduling
Today. The schedule lives in a spreadsheet and breaks each time an order or a machine changes.
After. The schedule updates from orders, capacity and machine status, and shows what each change affects.
Quality inspection
Today. Defects are recorded on paper, and repeat causes show up weeks later.
After. Defects are captured at the line, and repeat causes are flagged while the batch is still running.
Maintenance
Today. Machines are serviced on a calendar or when they fail.
After. Work orders and machine history point to the equipment that needs attention first.
Example project. A metal fabricator takes two days to turn around each quote. The first project drafts quotes from past jobs and current material prices, so estimators review instead of rebuild. This is an illustration, not a client.
Systems
Built on the systems you already run
We connect to your current tools. These are the ones we see most in manufacturing.
Funding
Funding that can fit these projects
We scope the project first, then check these programs. Only programs marked "Grant" are grants.
Industrial AI Readiness Program
Only for manufacturers. It pays for an AI readiness assessment and an implementation plan.
Amount: Up to $15,000.
Regional Artificial Intelligence Initiative
Covers larger adoption projects, including outside implementation costs. You repay it.
Amount: Up to 50% of eligible costs.
BDC LIFT
A loan for AI projects and automation equipment.
Amount: Loans of $25,000 to $5M.
Scale AI
A grant for AI projects run with at least one partner.
Amount: Up to 40% of eligible expenses.
ESSOR, Volet 1
For Quebec manufacturers: a digital plan and its implementation.
Amount: 50% of eligible costs.
Questions
Common questions
Do we need sensors on every machine?
No. Most first projects use data you already have: quotes, orders, work orders and inspection records.
Will this replace our ERP?
No. We connect to the ERP you run and build on top of it.

Answer a few questions about the project. We reply with a first scope and the funding that fits it. Funding is never guaranteed, and we tell you when a program is not a good fit.
